Give It

Our community is full of the kindest people, who make not just for themselves, but for others too. We all know the amount of love that gets stitched onto every handmade item and here we have created a little space for anyone who feels like making a little something extra to give someone who may need it.

HATS FOR HAMLIN: Woollen Hats For Newborns

Hats For Hamlin is a charity that supports the work of The Catherine Hamlin Foundation, Founded over 65 years ago, by pioneering Australian surgeon Dr Catherine Hamlin AC and her surgeon husband Dr Reginald Hamlin, Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia is a Healthcare network dedicated to treating Ethiopian women who have suffered the most horrific childbirth injury: obstetric fistula.

A warm hat can be lifesaving for a vulnerable newborn. And in communities where women traditionally birth at home without medical care, gifting a baby hat encourages mothers to seek a safe delivery with a skilled Hamlin midwife - potentially saving both their lives.

BACKPACKS 4 VIC KIDS: Various childrens/baby items and blankets

Backpacks For Vic Kids distribute backpacks filled with essential items supporting children in out-of-home care, emergency accommodation, victims of crime and domestic violence, or homeless. Often children are relocated quickly without much more than what they are wearing at the time of displacement.

They gratefully accept hand knitted and crochet items suitable for babies, children and teenagers, including garments and blankets.

They have many drop off locations across Victoria or you can post your items to me as I am a registered volunteer with Backpacks 4 Vic Kids.
