Feeling Festive Makers Christmas Swap - Registrations Now Closed

Right, we’re doing one more and it’s a big one!!

We’ve had such a lovely year of swaps, made some gorgeous things, met some lovely makers and hopefully made a few new yarn loving friends along the way.

So we thought... why not finish the year with an 8 week Christmas swap?

This one is very much make whatever you fancy as long as it has a Christmas theme.

You could knit or crochet a Christmas ornament, a stocking, a little softie, something for the tree, something for the Christmas table or just something that feels festive.

How it works

Sign up and we’ll pair you with another maker.

Once you’ve got your partner, have a little chat about what they like, their favourite colours, yarn preferences and anything else that might help you decide what to make.

Then you get making!

You’ll have a 8 weeks, yes you read that right, to make your Christmas surprise, pop it in the post and wait for your own handmade parcel to arrive.

Please don't get caught up thinking you need to make something elaborate or perfect. A little handmade ornament is just as lovely as a giant Christmas stocking. Probably easier to post too. 

Whether you’re an old hand at knitting and crochet or just starting your knitting/crochet journey, we encourage you to join in.

We really wanted this last swap to be a chance to celebrate the year we’ve had together. We’ve loved seeing everyone’s makes, watching new friendships pop up and sending little parcels of handmade goodness all over the place.

Spring Has Sprung and we couldn't be happier! This swap is all about taking inspiration from the season and turning it into something handmade for another maker.

Your spring inspiration could be anything you like. Maybe a Spring inspired pattern, some floral colour work, a Spring colour palette or simply something that reminds you of this time of year.

How it works

• We'll pair you with another maker.
• Contact your partner and chat about colours, fibres and preferences.
  
• Make your swap item over 4 weeks.
• Pop it in the post and enjoy receiving a handmade surprise in return.

There are no rules about what you make, just that Spring is your inspiration.

Whether you knit or crochet, whether you’ve been making for years or you’ve only just picked up your needles or hook, you’re very welcome to join in.

And please don’t worry about making something fancy or perfect. It doesn’t need to be intricate or award-winning. The lovely thing about receiving something handmade is knowing that someone chose the yarn, picked a pattern and spent their time making something just for you.

That’s really what these swaps are about. A little bit of creativity, a little bit of kindness and a handmade surprise in the post.
