Our Sock Swap is your chance to create a pair for someone else… and receive a pair made just for you!
What is the sock swap?
This is a community swap just for makers, where you’ll be paired with another maker and exchange a handmade pair of socks.
It’s thoughtful, a little bit indulgent, and such a lovely way to connect with another maker.
How it works

- Chat with your partner about sizing, colours, and preferences
- Spend a few weeks creating your socks
- Post your pair and enjoy receiving yours

You’re welcome to include little extras if you’d like, but it’s completely optional.

This is all about sharing handmade love, NOT about creating a flawless pair of socks. Please don’t let worries about “being good enough” stop you from joining in. We definitely don't expect perfect stitches or expert-level technique. It’s about the kindness behind making something by hand for another maker, the time, care, thought, and love stitched into every pair. Handmade socks don’t need to be perfect to be deeply special, and we hope this feels like a warm, welcoming place for every kind of maker, wherever you are in your knitting or crochet journey.

Winter Warmers Swap - NOW UNDERWAY
There’s something deeply special about making something by hand and gifting it to someone else. As makers, we do it all the time, carefully creating beautiful pieces for the people we love.
But how often do we receive something handmade, created just for us?
The Winter Warmers Swap is your chance to experience that.
Where we’re at
Our current swap is now underway, and makers are busy creating their pieces.
What is the swap?
This is a community-based handmade swap where you’ll be paired with another participant and exchange a small handmade item.
Think cosy, thoughtful, and made with care. Shawls, scarves, beanies, mitts, or sock to name just a few.
We previously ran this swap and it was such a beautiful success, with thoughtful makes, meaningful exchanges, and genuine connections formed between makers.
How it works
- Sign up using our form registration
- You’ll be matched with another maker
- Contact your partner to introduce yourself and exchange details
- Spend 4 weeks creating your handmade item
- Post your swap to your partner and enjoy receiving yours
What you’ll make
You’ll create:
- A small handmade item (knit, crochet, or other yarn craft)
- Something made with care, intention, and your partner in mind
You’re also welcome to include extra little treats if you’d like, but this is completely optional.
A note on community
This swap is built on kindness, generosity, and respect for one another’s time and effort.
Please only sign up if you can commit to completing your handmade item within the 4-week timeframe.
